WSC has put in requests to host some Region Cup and State Cup games. We feel confident that we could get to host some. We are hosting the Region A ODP and hopefully 2 age groups for State Cup.
FLUGSA - Jamboree for the U9-U11 is 02/4-5 and $20 per team per game for ref fees. Playoffs for U12-14's schedules with standings should be updated in a couple of days so you can see if your team will be in the playoffs or not which will be held here at Pierson Park 02/11-12. The roster freeze is 01/27. If you had any crossover games with teams from other divisions, those games do not count in towards the standings. There is a new directive adopted by FYSA that will be adhered to by FLUGSA that they will no longer be able to guarantee that our ALL GIRLS league will be ALL GIRLS. Currently there is a boy carded as a girl in the FLUGSA league.
ELECTION NEWS: 3 positions are coming up for reelection in February, President, VP of Community Affairs and VP of Girls. Any of the positions are open to any members of the club that are in good standing. If you have intentions or interest in running, please go on the website to review the Club By-Laws to be familiar with what it is all about. If you are going to nominate someone for a position, please be sure that they are aware of it and have agreed to run. The voting process is 1 vote per family regardless of how many players you have in the club. The 3 incumbents, Sam Falzone (President), Jorge Suarez (VP of Community Affairs) and Chris Auger (VP of Girls), have chosen to re-run. The ballot is still open for nominations thru next week. You have to be present to vote. There are no absentee votes. We will have a list to mark off votes per family and the votes will be tallied after the voting os closed. Very informal. Side notes: The Position of President has to be a resident of Wellington and the Board has to maintain a 60% Village of Wellington resident status.

TOURNAMENT REPORT
We had a very successful tournament. Thank you to every club member who participated and volunteered. About 218-223 teams, 353 games played. A total income that was raised for the club in round numbers was $45,000 which includes almost all of the WSC teams that played at no cost plus all the as book fees, of which 75% of those fees went back to the members who sold the ads for fundraising. The concessions did very well too. Anyone whose team hours were completed and worked extra hours over that time will receive the money in the team accounts to be distributed to the individuals. The weather was a great contributor of the success too. The club has received many emails from other clubs and individuals complimenting WSC for such a well run, friendly and competitive tournament. All would not be possible without our members. Everyone had a great time! The big screen TV's with scoreboards and live tickers were designed and provided by Mario Rodrigues and he is already working on bigger and better improvements on that system for next year's tournament.
