Field Conditions

WSC Club Members,

I know everyone was looking forward to the fields opening this week with high expectations and we all were eager to start practice and prepare for the upcoming season. The rain although much needed has not allowed this to happen.

The fields today remain wet and soggy and require additional time to dry out, so in order to maintain quality field conditions and prevent damage the fields will remain closed today 8/11/11 and Friday 8/12/11. If conditions improve we hope to have the fields open this weekend for the Jamboree.

The Village spent considerable time and resources over the summer months to recondition our fields and any play during these wet conditions would result in considerable damage and the fields would not have and opportunity to recover.
