Just a reminder; The last Champions Day Training Session for the 2007-2008 soccer season will be held tonight at 6:30pm. Training session is open to all registered club players.
Family Day is scheduled on Saturday, May 9 from 11am to 3pm. All club members are welcomed to enjoy this event as the 2007-2008 soccer season draws to a conclusion and the 2008-2009 soccer season is right around the corner. Come out and enjoy the BBQ (hot dog/hamburger), cold drinks (water,soda, gatorade), chips, snow cones and many other treats. DJ will be on site playing music along with a bounce house for the younger children. Small sided soccer games amongst club players will be played as part of the event. Come out and socialize with one another. The soccer club has many success stories to be proud of this year with even better and bigger things in the upcoming future. Come out and wish the U16 Boys & U18 Boys coaches, players and parents good luck in their quest as they prepare for the State Cup Final Four Round in Pensacola the weekend of May 17. Try your luck and purchase raffle tickets for a great Basket of Cheer.

The U18 Boys and U16 Boys would like to thank everyone who supported our fund raiser at Fudd Ruckers Restaurant in Wellington last night.
In our continued efforts to raise money to help offset expenses for the State Cup Final Four in Pensacola the weekend of May 17, both teams are selling raffle tickets for a great Basket of Cheer which includes a $150 Gift Certificate to Morton's Steakhouse in West Palm Beach, two nice bottles of wine and two wine glasses. Raffle tickets are $5 each. Please stop by the concession stand on Tuesday night if you would like to purchase any raffle tickets or see any of the U18 and U16 Boys or Team Managers (Alex Servellon or Pete Lillo).

Wellington Soccer is proud to announce that we will have a college prep night at Pierson Park. Thomas Chestnutt, Head Coach of FIU woman's team and Assistant Coach Matias Asoray from the men's side will do the presentation.This presentation will be in English and Spanish. This is a perfect opportunity for all players and parents to hear and get educated on how to go about trying to obtain a college scholarship. They will go in depth on all the do's and don't of getting a scholarship. This presentation will be for any player going into High School this coming school year or who is currently in High School. The presentation is an important aspect of the players future college education and playing career. The class will be on Tuesday, May 13 at 7 pm in the meeting room by the concession stand at the back soccer fields.

The U16M will be taking orders for Empanadas in an effort to help with the cost of our upcoming trip to Pensacola for this year's State Cup Final Four. The empanadas will be $20.00 a dozen and can be delivered on May 3rd, 4th, 10th &11th. They will be made to order and you can choose either meat, chicken or cheese. Florida State Cup Final Four Round in Pensacola |

U18 Boys (Coach Carlos) and U16 Boys (Coach Patrick) teams have advanced to the Florida State Cup Final Four Round in Pensacola the weekend of May 17. The U18 Boys team won two hard fought 2 - 1 double overtime games in Sarasota on Saturday and Sunday. The U16 Boys team won two hard fought games in Sarasota winning 2 - 0 on Saturday and 3 - 1 on Sunday.
The U17 Girls (Coach Gabby) and U14 Boys (Coach Edner) teams went to the Elite 8 round after winning their respective games on Saturday 3 - 0 and 2 - 1, but both teams lost their games on Sunday in Penalty Kicks after playing two overtime periods after regulation play ended in a tie.
